UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.
The selected candidates will assist the Director of Sports Medicine in the day-to-day management of athletics' sports medicine operation while serving as the primary athletic trainer for track & field / cross country as well as other programs as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordination of injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes for assigned sports; supervision of graduate and student assistants; nutrition; and budget implementation.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of directly related professional experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 3 years of directly related experience. Must possess or be able to obtain the NATABOC. Division I Track & Field experience required. Prefer Master's degree and NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer credentials; eligible for State of Florida Athletic Training License. CPR and AED certification also preferred.
