UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and Big 12 Conference member, is seeking applications for the position of Senior Associate A.D., Brand Communications.

Under the leadership of the Senior Executive Associate A.D. / Chief Branding Officer, the selected candidate will oversee all Athletics' Executive and Director of Athletics communications, as well as strategic organizational branding.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serves as primary communications representative regarding announcements from the Director of Athletics Office
  • Serves as primary communications representative for the Director of Athletics, engaged in the coordination and preparations for interviews, speech writing, social media, Board meeting preparations, A.D. presentations, State of the Kingdom, etc.  In this capacity, position is expected to develop and deliver a regular / consistent communications plan across multiple mediums   
  • Develops and activates a strategic messaging plan maximizing brand awareness and organizational initiatives (ex., Mission XII)
  • Oversees the Strategic Communications team, providing leadership towards the achievement of goals / objectives related to local / national exposure and organizational branding
  • Primary point of contact for executive-level football communications
  • Serves as liaison with University Communications for consistent messaging.
  • Develops / enhances relationships with national / prominent media regarding stories for distribution
  • Serves as webmaster for Athletics website (www.ucfknights.com).  Collaborates with internal communications team regarding assigned sports (roster bios, schedules, stories, etc.)

Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six (6) years of appropriate experience. Prefer communications experience within intercollegiate athletics or professional sports. Strong communication, relationship building, and teamwork skills are also preferred.  Due to the nature/scope of Athletics and Athletics events, position may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.  As a UCF Athletics staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the UCF Athletics program.
